Who Are Offbeat People?

Offbeat people are visionaries, life explorers, free spirits, and creators

They are not afraid to be different.

These are three examples of offbeat people...

Robert Louis Stevenson

The first person who inspired me to live an offbeat life is Robert Louis Stevenson. He was a Scottish travel writer — mostly known for the Treasure Island, and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Even more than his work, his life is what truly inspired me.

Despite his mental health issues, Stevenson bought a boat to travel around the world. While traveling, he arrived in the Samoa Islands and Stevenson liked this place so much that he bought an island.

Alexander The Great

Alexander The great, kind of Macedonia, changed the course of history. He was extremely ambitious. A great leader and visionary. Alexander drew inspiration from the gods Achilles, Heracles, and Dionysus.

Nietzsche

Creating—that is the great salvation from suffering and life’s alleviation. But for the creator to appear, suffering itself is needed, and much transformation.

Nietzche is one of the modern thinkers who influenced thought and society the most.

His book Also sprach Zarathustra (Thus Spoke Zarathustra), and in particular, his story about the three metamorphoses, and his idea of free spirits, are what make him offbeat.

“It is better to create than to learn. Creating is the essence of life”.

Julius Ceasar is a controversial figure, but what makes him offbeat is his will to be a great leader and get more from life
